Felon Arrested After Drugs, Cash, Firearms Found During Probation Check
A probation compliance check operation Monday in Sonoma County resulted in the arrest of a Santa Rosa man on suspicion of numerous offenses.

NORTH BAY, CA -- A probation compliance check operation Monday in Sonoma County resulted in the arrest of a Santa Rosa man on suspicion of numerous drug and firearm offenses, police said.
According to Santa Rosa police, during the compliance check operation, officers searched a residence in the 2000 block of Park Meadow Drive in Santa Rosa on May 15. As officers knocked on the door, they saw someone throw a handgun out of a bedroom window.
Officers detained the occupants of the home and conducted a probation search.

Following an investigation, detective recovered an AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun, an AK-47 style rifle, three pistols, high capacity magazines and ammunition.
Detectives also seized about four ounces of suspected cocaine, half an ounce of suspected methamphetamine and five ounces of heroin.

About $5,000 in U.S. currency and two stolen motorcycles were also seized, according to police.
Authorities arrested 25-year-old Santa Rosa resident Omar Rodriguez Cabrera, a convicted felon. He was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of numerous offenses including
violating probation and possessing firearms, stolen vehicles and narcotics.
