Firefighters Get Wet and Wild at the Vintage Festival Water Fight

The annual Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival celebrates the wine-making season with tradition, history, and some watery antics

The 114th wrapped up this weekend: celebrating the winemaking season with a signature mix of history, tradition, and fun-filled antics.

The biggest moment of the festival—no knocks to the parade or salami toss — is the Firefighters Water Fight, which returned to the Vintage Festival last year after a short hiatus.

What does a real water fight look like? Try watching two teams of firefighters pound water out of a regulation fire hose at a specially anointed barrel, to drive it onto the other teams side. (Like a real-life game of foosball, but with lots of water.)
