Drake, who is an investor in the restaurant chain, is gifting everyone free chicken sliders for his birthday, according to the company.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Rapper, singer and actor Drake is turning 38 Thursday and Sonoma County residents can celebrate with free food.
The Grammy award-winning artist, who is also an investor in restaurant chain Dave's Hot Chicken, is gifting everyone free chicken sliders for his birthday, according to the Nashville-style hot chicken company.
"We love that Drake is choosing to celebrate his birthday with Dave's guests," Dave's Hot Chicken's CEO Bill Phelps said in a statement. "As this brand expands from coast-to-coast and abroad, it's the authenticity of the food, founders, team members and investors, like Drake, which ensure we'll continue to blow peoples' minds."

To receive the free slider, which is more of a full-size sandwich, customers need to download the Dave's Hot Chicken app, visit their local restaurant, and scan the reward at the checkout register.

The birthday celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at every Dave's Hot Chicken eatery, according to the company. The deal is only available at the restaurant. It is not available through online ordering or through third-party delivery services.

Dave's Hot Chicken has more than 1,000 franchise locations in the U.S., Middle East and Canada, and plans to open more than 80 locations this year. In Sonoma County, the company has a location in Santa Rosa.
