Injured Teen Mountain Biker Rescued From Sonoma County Park

Sonoma County sheriff's Henry-1 helicopter crew rescued the teen who reportedly suffered substantial injuries.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A mountain biker was rescued after he suffered substantial injuries in a fall Tuesday afternoon in a Sonoma County park, sheriff's officials said. Sheriff's helicopter Henry 1 was sent at 1:45 p.m. to Trione-Annadel State Park following a report that a mountain biker lost his balance and had substantial injuries.

The Henry 1 crew located the biker on a steep, rocky trail and directed rescuers to him. The helicopter landed, a paramedic hiked to the victim and the victim's injuries were stabilized.

The 17-year-old mountain biker was flown to a waiting ambulance.
