La Luz: Celebrate Mexican Independence Day

On Sunday, September 18 La Luz Center celebrates Mexican Independence Day in the Sonoma Plaza. Here's a schedule of events:

2-4pm
Welcoming; Food, drinks with music by 'DJ José.'

4-5pm
Performances by the Folkloric Dance Company; Quetzalen; and
a Community Heroes Recognition ceremony

5-5:30pm
Aztec Dancers

5:30pm
Speeches by Sonoma Mayor Laurie Gallian and a representative of the Mexican Consulate.

6-8pm
Loretta Carr and Los Diferentes del Ritmo; Cumbias; Salsa dance and more.
