Last Chance for 'Sundown Stories'

The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art's wraps up their popular series with the last two of the six Grimm's fairy tales, illustrated by David Hockney.

It's last call for ’s popular “Sundown Stories," a series of art-based fairy tales which wraps up tonight with Elaine Stanley telling the last two of the six Grimm’s fairy tales, illustrated by David Hockney.

Stanley will recount the peculiar and suspenseful story of “The Boy Who Left Home to Learn Fear” and the equally peculiar tale—but set in a glass mountain—“Old Rinkrank,” where once again, the princess is the only one in the story with any common sense.

Elaine grew up traveling and living throughout the United States, London and Tokyo. Her varied life experiences have added richness to the stories and poems she tells and she delights in connecting with people through storytelling. She is a graduate of the Dominican College Storytelling Program, and has been a professional storyteller since 1994.
