The car flew past the barricade, towards Sonoma Creek, crashing into the creek's southern embankment, said CHP officer Jaret Paulson. Emergency crews found Dursharme dead on arrival.

Witnesses said Dursharme was driving without regard to traffic, running several intersections; but the CHP does not believe alcohol or medication were involved, said Paulson.
