Mountain Lion Strolls Through Front Yard In Sonoma Valley: Video

A Ring doorbell camera captured the visit from the big cat.

BOYES HOT SPRINGS, CA — A mountain lion recently took a stroll through a Sonoma Valley neighborhood, according to a video published by The Sonoma Index-Tribune.

The big cat was seen sauntering through Phil Jensen’s front yard Sunday in Boyes Hot Springs, as captured by his Ring doorbell camera, the newspaper reported.

The mountain lion is P4, a 12- or 13-year-old female living east of Highway 12, according to the Index-Tribune.

Mountain lion territories cover much of the North Bay, according to Audubon Canyon Ranch. If you encounter a mountain lion, do not approach it or run from it. If the lion comes near or acts aggressively, wave your arms, stand tall and shout at it. If it attacks, defend yourself by throwing rocks or wielding a stick.
