Sonoma County Driver Crashes Into Parked Truck After Dispute With Bicyclist
The CHP says a Santa Rosa driver fractured his pelvis when he crashed into a parked truck during a dispute with a bicyclist on Wednesday.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- An 18-year-old Santa Rosa man was injured when he crashed his vehicle into a parked truck during a dispute with a bicyclist west of Santa Rosa on Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said the man was driving south on Fulton Road with two passengers in a 2003 Acura when he came upon a bicyclist riding south on the right shoulder of the road.
The occupants of the Acura and the bicycle rider exchanged words, and the driver turned around, drove north on Fulton Road then turned around and drove south again, according to the CHP.

The driver accelerated and weaved side-to-side as he approached the bicyclist, who raised his hand, which possibly contained a rock, and appeared ready to throw it at the Acura, CHP officials said.
The driver lost control of the Acura when he swerved aggressively, and the driver's door of the Acura struck the left rear corner of a Ford Ranger parked off the roadway, according to the CHP.

The driver suffered a fractured pelvis and vertebrae, and the left rear passenger in the Acura suffered a sprained ankle, CHP officials said.
The bicyclist rode away before CHP officers arrived. The case remains under investigation.
