The 34-year-old was booked this week on suspicion of sex acts with a child 10 or younger and lewd and lascivious acts with a child.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Santa Rosa police arrested a man Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting two young girls within the past eight years, a police sergeant said. A girl, who is still under 18 years old, told police on Feb. 13 that a male acquaintance known as Javier Gines sexually assaulted her multiple times eight years ago, Sgt. Terry Anderson said.
Gines, 34, of Santa Rosa, was arrested and booked in the Sonoma County Jail Feb. 16 but was released a few days later for lack of evidence, Anderson said.
Another family told police on Feb. 22 their young daughter disclosed Gines sexually assaulted her approximately five years ago, Anderson said. The girl disclosed specific information that matched the other victim's incident, Anderson said.
