Sonoma County Parolee Arrested For No-Bail Warrant After Car Chase: Sheriff's Office

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A Santa Rosa man was arrested for a no-bail warrant after a high speed vehicle pursuit Tuesday evening, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

Dylan Davidson, 25, who was on parole for a domestic violence incident, had been wanted since March 24 on a no-bail warrant for failing to report to his parole officer, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

A sheriff's property crimes detective called for a deputy when he saw Davidson and his girlfriend leaving a Safeway store on West College Avenue in a Honda Accord around 6 p.m. on April 18, police say.

The responding detective tried to stop Davidson's 1995 Honda Accord as a patrol deputy entered the store parking lot, and then pursued the Honda on several streets west of Santa Rosa until Davidson's Honda reached 100 mph, Crum said.

During the pursuit, Davidson struck a parked car at 10 mph when the Honda ran out of gas, according to Crum. A photo of the crash can be seen above.

Davidson then ran from the Honda at the Terracina at Santa Rosa apartment complex at 471 W. College Ave., and the deputy and his canine Scott pursued him to a parking lot.

Davidson allegedly reached to his waistband as if he had a gun several times, police said, and the deputy released the canine. Davidson fell and the dog bit him twice on the head before Davidson was arrested, Crum said.

Davidson was treated at a hospital for dog bite wounds and was booked into Sonoma County Jail on the no-bail arrest warrant and on suspicion of felony evasion, resisting arrest, hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license, Crum said.

Davidson's girlfriend cooperated with deputies and was released, Crum said.
