How Much Do You Know About Sonoma Valley?
Every town has its traditions. Check out these fun facts about what makes Sonoma Valley so special.

Sonoma Valley is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Sonoma Valley has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- Sonoma Valley and wine country go hand in hand. The area is home to over 425 wineries and tasting rooms, so be sure to schedule a wine tasting tour during your visit!
- If you're a history buff, you'll be interested to know that Sonoma Valley was the site of the Bear Flag Revolt, which led to California becoming a state. You can visit the Sonoma Plaza where the revolt began and see a replica of the Bear Flag that flew over the town during the rebellion.
- Looking for a unique outdoor adventure? Sonoma has 150 miles of hiking trails, including the Sonoma Overlook Trail, which offers stunning views of the valley and the city of Sonoma. Don't forget to bring your camera!
