Supporting the Marin Sonoma Community with $79 Million in Investments
As a nonprofit organization, Kaiser Permanente invests $1.1 billion in improving health in Northern California communities

Kaiser Permanente is well-known in Northern California, serving 4.6 million members and operating 21 hospitals and 210 medical offices throughout the region.
What may be less familiar is the fact that Kaiser Permanente has a long-standing mission to not only improve the health of its members and patients, but also the health of the communities it serves.
In 2022, Kaiser Permanente Northern California invested $1.1 billion dollars across the region and $79 million dollars in the Sonoma-Marin service area.

Among the local recipients of grants were West County Community Services and LifeWorks of Sonoma County.
A significant part of these investments supported access to quality health care for people in need through participation in California’s Medi-Cal program and the organization’s Medical Financial Assistance program.

Kaiser Permanente also made significant investments in the education of new health and mental health care professionals, charitable contributions to community partners working to improve conditions for health, and medical research to improve the delivery of health care for all.
