Water Cooler: What's the Worst Intersection in Sonoma?

Introducing, "The Water Cooler." Each Tuesday pose a question kicking around our thoughts.

Sonoma may have scored big points recently for and sidewalks, but traffic is another story.

We kicked off Sonoma Patch with a column debating the between Broadway and Napa Street. Even after passing through hundreds of times, the three-way stop still baffles me.

Every time drivers gear up for an almost Machiavellian exchange: Who goes first? What about when pedestrians go by, does the line re-start? Should I take out a book while I wait for the Toyota Prius in front of me to figure out how to make a left turn (Here's a hint from an old timer: take the shortcut through the City Hall roundabout.) How are there not more accidents here?

And, why (oh why) isn't there a traffic light?

I have yet to get answers, but am curious what Patch readers think is the worst intersection in Sonoma. Where do you end up waiting a long time? Do you do anything to avoid it? Tell us in the comments and we'll publish the results. Have questions for city traffic engineers? Post them here and we'll make the inquiry for you.
