• Registration open for Bijou Community School TWBI program (southtahoenow.com) — Families in South Lake Tahoe can now submit commitment forms for Bijou Community School’s Two-Way Bilingual Immersion TK and kindergarten classes for the 2026–2027 school year. The program blends English- and Spanish-speaking students, uses a Spanish-heavy model in early grades, and fills spots through a lottery, with forms due February 13, 2026. 
• Kudos: South Tahoe Association of Realtors thanks community for gifts for Wish Tree Project (southtahoenow.com) — South Lake Tahoe Realtors and community members just helped brighten the holidays for 79 local Boys & Girls Club kids, delivering nearly 180 gifts through the 8th annual Wish Tree Project. Volunteers and sponsors from the South Tahoe Association of REALTORS Young Professionals Network made sure every child on the list received two wished-for presents before the school break.
• Oilers hold off extended Tahoe Power Play late to take 3-2 victory in the rubber match (tahoedailytribune.com) — Tahoe hockey fans saw the Knight Monsters fall 3-2 in Tulsa after failing to convert a lengthy 5-on-3 power play late in the game. Anthony Collins and Devon Paliani scored for Tahoe, while Easton Armstrong netted the Oilers’ winner. The team now heads home to Stateline’s Tahoe Blue Event Center for a Wednesday showdown with the Wichita Thunder and a Country Knight promotion.
