Deputy Involved Shooting Under investigation in South Gate
The suspect has been taken to a nearby hospital.

Detectives from the Homicide Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) are on their way to the 9600 block of South Atlantic Avenue in South Gate. The officers have been dispatched to investigate the circumstances surrounding a recent deputy involved shooting.
“No deputies were injured,” wrote Deputy Kim Manatt from the LASD Headquarters Bureau. “ One suspect was hit by gunfire and transported to a local hospital.”
The condition of the wounded suspect is as of now unknown.

The official time of the shooting was said to be at 8:30 p.m. An official statement by the LASD was sent out at 10:30 p.m. In an email, a Patch reader sent a picture of the scene with several police cars at 9:06 p.m.
