Fall Writing Program for Students

Authors Joan Graham, Sherri L. Smith, Alison Bell, and poet Suzanne Lummis will mentor students during this fall's four-Friday writing program from Oct. 14 to Nov. 4 at the

Designated for students ages 10 to 15, the writing program will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the at 1115 El Centro Street. The program runs through Friday, Nov. 4.

The program emphasizes writing both poems and short stories while getting inspiration and ideas from professional authors of books for young and teenage readers.

This program is funded by a grant from the National Charity League, San Marino Area Chapter.

“The series has been overwhelmingly popular and well-received,” said Children’s Librarian Maida Lin Wong.  “Our local authors have graciously shared their expertise.”
