Griffins of Kinsale Raises $11,170

With three days left to go, owner Joseph Griffin's Kickstarter campaign has receieved 88 backers reaching 74 percent of its goal.

Earlier this month, Patch reported Griffins of Kinsale to apply finishing touches to the soon-to-be-open Mission Street pub. 

And although some , owner Joseph Griffin has definitely got some support.

With three days left to go, Griffin's Kickstarter campaign has received 88 backers—with three donating $500 or more—for a total of $11,170.

But his goal is $15,000. (The project will only be funded if at least $15,000 is pledged by 2:59 a.m. EDT Saturday.) 

Griffin says the money will support:

  • Installation of a sound system (for live performances)
  • Installation of gorgeous antique chandeliers from the Ritz Carlton
  • Final touches on the crown molding
  • Bar equipment, registers, barware, dinnerware and utensils

The pub is slated to officially open May 5 in time for the .
