• Police Offer Holiday Safety Tips (outlooknewspapers.com) — South Pasadena police are urging residents to lock up, secure packages, and use the station as a safe meetup spot for online sales during the busy holiday season. The fire department is also collecting new toys through Dec. 24, and overnight parking permits are temporarily waived while the 72-hour street parking limit still applies.
   

• FATE Toy Drive Set for Dec. 20 (outlooknewspapers.com) — This afternoon’s FATE Reindeer Games Toy Drive runs 2–6 p.m. on the rooftop patio of Visionarium on Mission Street in South Pasadena, with tickets free if you bring an unwrapped gift. The South Pasadena–founded nonprofit is partnering with L.A. County’s child services to collect toys for foster and at-risk youth while offering festive games, music, and refreshments for all ages.
