Griffins of Kinsale to Open Thursday?
South Pasadena's Irish pub may open Thursday, according to its Facebook page.
South Pasadena residents have been anticipating the opening of its first Irish pub ever since the "Coming to the neighborhood ... Traditional Irish Pub."
While owner Joe Griffin had hoped to be officially open by the first weekend in May, things haven't completely panned out that way.
Residents but they weren't able to drink there. And it closed after that night.

So, is the wait finally over? Possibly.
When I spoke with Griffin on the phone Tuesday, the fire department was on its way to officially sign off and confirm that he could open for business.

And on Griffins of Kinsale's Facebook page Tuesday, Griffin wrote: "Rumor has it folks should hang around after the Farmer's Market on Thursday. Just sayin'..."
