Help Arroyo Vista Students Win A Whiteboard
The whiteboard uses similar touch screen technology as an iPad. It's device that has already been found useful helping students with special needs.

The following is a letter to the editor from teacher Timaree Johnson. She teachers the Special Day Preschool Class at , comprised of students aged 3 to 5 with special needs.
My students have their days, planned full of interventions, assessments and therapy sessions. They are all such little troopers that face great difficulties daily. When they come to school, I want them to be excited and happy. School should be challenging, but there's no reason it can't also be fun!
Despite their disabilities, the students in my classroom are just like any other preschooler. They love coming to school and exploring their environment in hands-on ways.

We love music, dancing, and art (especially the messy kind!), but our favorite time of the day is story time! If you were to visit our classroom, you would probably be introduced to our favorite book, "Pete the Cat," within the first five minutes of your arrival (probably sooner!).
Our program is new to the district and funding is limited, but with a little creativity we have found ways to get the supplies our students need and deserve!

I wanted to reach out to you, because my class has the opportunity to win an Interactive Whiteboard through Donorschoose.org! The whiteboard utilizes similar touch screen technology as an iPad, a device that has already been found very useful helping students with special needs learn.
Not only will this device promote academic and cognitive growth, but it will also help foster social development, as well as, the ability to learn in a group setting.
You can help my following the link below and voting for us daily. Voting and funding of projects is ongoing.
The charity funds the projects with the most amount of votes daily. So far we have moved from being in 9,000th place, to 570th! We need more people voting for the final push. In order to vote people must create a profile, or sign in using their Facebook sign in information. Voters can vote once for a project per day.
Please vote to support Ms. Johnson's project for kids at Arroyo Vista Elementary School.
Thanks in advance,
Miss Timaree + The Mini Wildcats
