Hit and Run on Fair Oaks: Did You See It?

Were you a witness to the purported accident Friday night?

While driving northbound on Fair Oaks around 11 p.m. Friday, John Acevedo says he was rear-ended by a driver in a white Lexus LX 470, who continued to push him from Mission Street towards the SR-110.

"All of a sudden, I felt this bump from behind, and I realized a car hit me," said  Acevedo. "I put on my brakes to stop—thinking he would stop, too. But instead, he pushed me a block and half to ."

Nervous that he would be forced into the intersection of the SR-110 entrance and Fair Oaks Avenue, Acevedo made a hard left in his red Mazda Miata and looped back around.

Highway Patrol advised him to stop following the suspect and contact the South Pasadena Police Department. Before exiting the 110, however, he did catch a glimpse of the suspect.
