Man Found Dead in Amberwood Home

A man was found unresponsive around noon Monday in South Pasadena. Detectives say the public is not in danger.

Monday 8:42 p.m.: South Pasadena Detective Bill Earley says while there are "mysterious circumstances" surrounding the death of a 51-year-old man who was found unresponsive in his South Pas home Monday, "the public is in no danger."

L.A. County Sheriff's Department is handling the ongoing investigation. 

Monday 7:30 p.m.: The coroner's office has confirmed that the man found dead in South Pas Monday was a 51-year-old Hispanic male.

The case has been classified as suspicious circumstances, and the investigation is still ongoing, according to officials.

Pasadena Star-News reported earlier that the man was found bloody inside the location on Amberwood Drive.

The next of kin has yet to be notified.

Monday 7:15 p.m.: Coroner's officials and sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive in South Pasadena Monday, reports San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
