Resident Charged with Robbery, Drugs and Credit Card Fraud

Dennis Louie, 44, was charged Thursday with robbery and false imprisonment involving a dice game he allegedly held at his apartment June 23 in the 900 block of Arroyo Drive.

A South Pas man was charged Thursday on multiple charges including credit card fraud after police allegedly found hundreds of blank and encoded fraudulent credit cards in his apartment, according to

Dennis Louie, 44, was charged at Alhambra Court when he appeared for an unrelated traffic ticket. Pasadena Police Department's Special Enforcement Team handled the arrest, said South Pas Detective Bill Earley.

Louie was charged with robbery and false imprisonment involving a dice game he allegedly held at his apartment June 23 in the 900 block of Arroyo Drive.

A female acquaintance of the suspect said she won several hundred dollars of Louie’s money during the game, according to police. But when she allegedly tried to leave with her winnings, Louie struck her, put her in a choke hold, and took her winnings, police reported in a bulletin Monday. (See attached.)

A search of Louie's car in the Alhambra Court parking lot was conducted and methamphetamine hidden in a fake WD‐40 can and several fraudulent credit cards were found, according to police.

Police wrote a search warrent for Louie's apartment where hundreds of blank and encoded fraudulent credit cards already embossed in the suspect’s name were found, along with the equipment needed to encode and emboss the cards, allege police. 

Louis was scheduled to appear in Alhambra court Monday morning.
