South Pasadena Firefighters collected donations for the daughter of Arcadia Firefighter Paramedic Mike Herdman on Monday. The donations were collected at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Monterey Road in South Pasadena.
All donations would go to her scholarship fund.
Herdman died of blunt force injuries from a fall, authorities in Ventura County.
The 36-year-old Herdman went missing June 13 while on a hiking trip with a fellow firefighter in the Sespe Wilderness.
His partner made it back to the trailhead on June 15 and alerted authorities, who began a massive search to find Herdman, whose body was found on Friday.

Herdman's body was discovered at the foot of a cliff about three- quarters of a mile from the campsite where he disappeared when he went to look for his dog.
The cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was listed as accidental, Ventura County Chief Deputy Medical Examiner Armando Chavez.

Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean said an aerial search crew initially spotted an object and directed ground crews who found the body, which was identified using dental records.
Donations to the fund can be made online at FireFamilyFoundation.org by entering Herdman's name or sending a check payable to the Fire Family Foundation, 815 Colorado Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90041, with a notion Herdman Tribute Foundation.
