Tree Lighting at Farmer's Market Thursday

Merriment will be flowing at this week's South Pasadena Farmer's Market.

In addition to organic fruit and vegetables, gourmet prepared food, fresh fish, grass-fed beef, milk and eggs, Thursday's farmer's market will feature a special appearance by Santa Claus and Mayor Michael Cacciotti. The mayor will illuminate the city's Christmas tree, at 5:30 p.m., as well as say a few words. And the Los Angeles Children’s Orchestra and South Pasadena High School Band will play seasonal favorites. 

Photographer Tanya Alexis will offer a $15 special promotional price for digital photos with Santa. You may email Alexis in advance to sign up for your shots. 

The South Pasadena Preservation Foundation will offer refreshments in the Ironworks Museum.
