South Pasadena is known for its family-friendly vibe, but what about the adults or, more specifically, the singles?

Are there enough places in town for adults to gather and hang?
That question recently became a topic of conversation on Patch, after we posted an article about an
While some debated what this mysterious establishment should be named, others expressed excitement that there would finally be a place for "singles" to grab a beer.

South Pasadena is known for its family-friendly vibe—with a , low crime rate and surplus of kiddie establishments such as , and .
But what about the adults or, more specifically, the singles?
According to the 2010 U.S. Census, of the 10,467 households in South Pas, 1,264 or 12.1 percent had a female householder with no husband present, and 451 or 4.3 percent had a male householder with no wife present.
There are several restaurants in town—, , —where adults can enjoy a date night.
But other than the recently revamped bar at , there aren't many places in town for adults to grab a drink free from children.
