16-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted, Suspect Arrested: Police
The suspect was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A 19-year-old man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a female minor, the South San Francisco Police Department said.
In a statement, South San Francisco police said they responded to the 900 block of Nora Way around 2:40 p.m. Monday after a 16-year-old girl reported a kidnapping and sexual battery and that she was able to escape afterward.
Police identified the suspect as Rupinder Singh, a local resident. He was found at his place of work in South San Francisco.

Singh was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping, assault to commit lewd acts on a child, false imprisonment, and sexual battery.
