Fight Over Pokémon Cards Leads To Stabbing In San Mateo County: Police
An argument at a GameStop became violent after the suspect tried to cut in line, police said.
COLMA, CA — One man had a mason jar smashed over his head and was then stabbed multiple times by the shards of glass after he confronted someone who cut in line trying to buy Pokémon cards Saturday at a GameStop in Colma, police said.
Colma Police Department Officers said they arrested San Francisco residents Isaiah Calles, 27, and Migues OrellanasFlores, 49, in connection with the assault Saturday.
Police said they responded to a report of a fight involving multiple people at around 9:22 a.m. Saturday at a GameStop located at 4929 Junipero Serra Blvd.

When police arrived they said they found a man with lacerations to their head and multiple stab wounds. Officers said they began to give medical aid and transported the man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man is currently in stable condition, police said.
Officers said they learned the suspects fled in two separate cars and the victim provided officers with photos of the cars, including license plates. The Colma Police found one of the cars in the area of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Serramonte Boulevard and Daly City Police found the other in Gellert Park in Daly City. Police said they detained both suspects.

Officers said they later determined that an argument occurred between the victim and OrellanaFlores after OrellanaFlores attempted to cut in line at the GameStop to buy Pokémon cards. OrellanaFlores then hit the victim in the back of the head with a glass mason jar and Calles then grabbed broken shards of glass and began to stab the victim multiple times, police said.
OrellanaFlores and Calles were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury, battery with serious bodily injury, and conspiracy to commit a crime, police said.
They were booked into the San Mateo County Jail, police said.
