New San Mateo County Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening

The Daly City mayor and credit union CEO both attended the grand opening.

DALY CITY, CA — The grand opening of a new credit union in Daly City was celebrated by the mayor and the credit union’s CEO Monday.

On Cinco de Mayo, a new Patelco Credit Union opened at 362 Gellert Blvd. across from the Serramonte Center.

Daly City Mayor Rod Daus-Magbual and Patelco CEO Eric Mendez along with Tony Roldan, the branch manager, and Felicia Leong, the Daly City chamber of commerce CEO, all attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Patelco Credit Union, which is based in Dublin, operates 35 branches in the Bay Area and Sacramento. Patelco is a not-for-profit credit union with more than $9 billion in assets and serves over 500,000 members. The company was founded by Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company employees in 1936 who started the company with $500.
