San Francisco Airport Seeing Two-Plus Hour Delays For Wind

The delays were reported Thursday morning.

San Francisco International Airport had average delays of more than two hours Thursday morning because of wind, according to the FAA.

The average delay at SFO as of 10:45 a.m. local time was two hours and 22 minutes, according to the FAA’s website.

The airport did not confirm the delays on its Twitter feed, but retweeted an announcement by Virgin Airlines saying to expect delays.

The National Weather Service was reporting 22 mile-per-hour winds in San Francisco at 10:20 local time.
