At 9:22 a.m. on Saturday, police said they responded to a report of a fight involving multiple people at a GameStop located at 4929 Junipero Serra Blvd.

Flores let his family and Calles cut in line at GameStop to purchase Pokémon cards, leading to an argument with the victim, prosecutors said. Flores then struck the victim in the back of the head with a glass mason jar containing cannabis, according to the district attorney. Subsequently, Calles reportedly seized broken glass shards and proceeded to stab the victim multiple times.

Upon arrival, police discovered a man suffering from lacerations to his head and multiple stab wounds. Officers immediately administered medical aid before transporting him to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries. The victim is now in stable condition.

Authorities learned the suspects had fled in two separate vehicles. The victim provided officers with photographs of the cars, including their license plates. One vehicle was located by Colma Police near Junipero Serra Boulevard and Serramonte Boulevard, while Daly City Police found the second in Gellert Park. Both suspects were detained.

At the hearing on Tuesday, Flores and Calles pled not guilty to all of the charges. They remain in custody and bail has been set at $25,000 for Calles and $10,000 for Flores.

They are scheduled to next appear in court on Aug. 13, prosecutors said.
