REMINDER: ANNUAL PTA/PFC VOLUNTEER BREAKFAST FRIDAY, JUNE 1, 2012 - RSVP REQUESTED

PTA and PFC want to thank you for all your hard work making it an amazing school year for our children.  Please join us for our annual Volunteer Breakfast at Daily Grill on Friday, June 1st from 8:15 AM - 10:15 AM.  Generously hosted by our Partner in Education, Daily Grill, 12050 Ventura Blvd, Studio City.  All current and future Carpenter parents are welcome.  Please RSVP by May 30, 2012 to Debi Sher (BunnyDeb@aol.com).

REMINDER: IMPORTANT CHANGE TO SCHEDULE: THURSDAY MAY 31ST

PLEASE NOTE:  Thursday, May 31st will NOT be a minimum day and school will get out at the normal time of 2:23pm. The minimum day is now scheduled for Wednesday, June 13th and the school day will end at 12:43pm that day.  We also previously scheduled a minimum day on June 22nd. Since the last day of school has been moved to June 19th, this minimum day has been rescheduled for Monday, June 18th. We will send reminders before both dates but wanted to make sure to provide the information to you as soon as possible.

REMINDER: PTA BUDGET MEETING ON THURSDAY, MAY 31ST

The PTA has scheduled their annual Budget Meeting on Thursday, May 31st at 8:05am in Cafe West. At this meeting, we will present the proposed budget for the 2012-2013 school year. If you are planning to be actively involved chairing a PTA Committee, please plan to attend the meeting so you are aware of how much money your committee will have. If you have questions about the Budget process, please contact Anthony at anthony@cityyoga.com or carpenterpta@gmail.com.

RAFFLE WINNERS

Thank you to all who purchased tickets for an opportunity to win Carpenter's All Cash Raffle!  The live drawing was held at the annual Dinner Dance and Auction event May 19th where the following winners were announced:

1st prize $3500 - Suzanne Downey (Carpenter parent)
2nd prize $1000 - Nancy Schulenberg (Carpenter Grandparent)
3rd prize $500 - The Malouf Family (Carpenter family)

TEACHER ACTIVITIES STILL AVAILABLE

If you missed The Bootleggers' Ball or if you didn't make it to the Teacher Activities table, you still have a chance to bid on some fun and exciting outings with your favorite teachers.  Join Principal Martinez for a Bike Ride around Balboa Park; sign up for a Roller Coaster Making Party with Mrs. Belateche; plus there are extra spots available for activities with Mrs. Finer, Ms. Sanchez, Ms. Parseghian, Mrs. Kukawka, Ms. Allen, Mrs. Edelson, Mrs. Duffy and Mrs. Gund.  For more information contact Andrea McEwen atandrealmcewen@gmail.com.
