The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell three-tenths of a cent Saturday to $3.817, the first decrease since July 8, according to the City News Service.
The average price was unchanged each of the previous two days after rising 11 of the previous 12 days. The only interruption to that streak of increases came Monday when the price remained unchanged.
The average price is six-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 69.1 cents above what it was a year ago but 7.9 cents less than a month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
