The Los Angeles County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee will be hosted again at Walter Reed Middle School on Saturday, Feb. 26. Approximately 85 schools across the county representing public, private, parochial and charter schools will be represented. The winner competes in the giant Bee in Washington, D.C. Word pronouncer this year is actor Ed Asner, and a longtime Studio City resident. Also participating is Los Angeles Times columnist Sandy Banks.  Call 818-487-7600 for Debbie Vodhanel at the school if you have further questions. There are volunteers needed to help with the program.
