Community Corner

MovingPlanet.org Family Event

WHAT: 350.org's Moving Planet, an international day of climate action to move the world away from fossil fuels and toward a clean, green and sustainable future. Our local citizen-organized rally at City Hall Park is an an energetic, informative, family-friendly speech on climate action that addresses individual responsibility. It is one of a dozen Moving Planet events in the greater LA area, and one of thousands of citizen actions in 167 countries around the world.
WHY: Stopping Global Warming and Climate Change is a choice. It is your choice. A hundred times a day you are in a position of power over every decision in your life. And the sum total of your decisions each day has far more bearing on Climate Change than your political vote every two or four years. You make the difference, all day, every day. Keep making more and more sustainable choices and we can still stop Global Warming and prevent the worst of Climate Change.
WHEN: Saturday, September 24th, 3-5pm
WHERE: LA City Hall Park, 151 W 1st Street (corner of Spring St and 1st St), LA 90012http://maps.google.com/maps?q=spring+and+1st,+90012&hl=en&ll=34.053708,-118.243994&spn=0.006871,0.013937&sll=34.050727,-118.246495&sspn=0.006916,0.013937&vpsrc=6&t=m&z=17
