The Ford Theater Announces Virtual Programming Schedule For 2020
The picturesque theater will offer a variety of programs that highlight talented creatives across Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES, CA — After initially cancelling the 2020 season in April due to the coronavirus, Ford Theater has announced their virtual schedule for the rest of the year. The picturesque outdoor venue will host a combination of free events via Facebook live, including workshops, in-depth conversations and digital concerts.
"From The Ford" will highlight iconic performances from the theater's archives, repackaged with behind-the-scenes footage and new insight from the artists. The weekly series will kick off this Thursday with the TAIKOPROJECT and conclude on November 27 with the Angel City Jazz Festival.
Those looking for a more immersive experience can take part in "LA Soundscape," which aims to teach viewers about different dance forms essential to the Los Angeles culture. Each workshop will include a history lesson and instrument overview as well as a step-by-step dance routine the whole family can follow from the living room. Not to mention, an artmaking workshop held just before each session will deepen the experience and allow you to make the traditional crafts you'll see in the lesson.

The Ford will also sponsor four digital festivals that give the reins to marginalized communities and allows them to share their stories. Programs will feature music, art, dance and much more, while also offering a virtual marketplace to give viewers a chance to support the creators in the community.
