Clooney has recently been a bit more public about his house in the Fryman Canyon area, and his live-in girlfriend is seen often jogging in the area.

Clooney met up with the president in the White House last month, and that's when the plans were made for the 150 guests at the $40,000-a-plate party planned for May 10.

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg is also co-hosting the event.

The Oscar-winning actor who owned homes in Studio City for nearly two decades, told Entertainment Tonight, "I'm proud to do whatever I can to support the President... as long as no one asks me to sing."

The money will benefit the Obama Victory fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties.
