Jonathon Lee Revamped the Carpenter Website
See the accomplishments of people who helped change Carpenter.

When their twins began going to six years ago in Kindergarten, that's when Jonathon and Yvette Lee got involved with the school.
"It's been six years and sadly, this is the end," Jonathon Lee says. "Our twins are graduating and next year, it's for them."
GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: "When I started working on the Carpenter website, in 2007 I was basically working with an existing design and simply updating content."

He adds, "The busiest week of the year was the week before school started, when I'd post the teacher room listings, and that's when the website got its most traffic. It was like this for about another 2 1/2 years, and then the move toward becoming a community charter school began, and along with that came a branding and marketing campaign."
He says, "This was led by a great team of parents and principal Joe Martinez. Michellene DeBonis, whose background is in graphic design and marketing, led the redesign of the entire site. It's now much more extensible, with a potential for true interactivity. I would say my major accomplishment as a volunteer was working on this redesign and being responsive to daily, and in some cases hourly, updates."

FAVORITE MEMORY? "Each year has been full of wonderful memories, and I would say my favorite was the first day of kindergarten for our kids, Keren and Ronen. The school campus seemed like a warm, neighborhood school, and I'm happy to say, it still feels that way."
WISHES FOR THE FUTURE OF CARPENTER? "Good leadership, high standards, effective and responsive faculty, and strong parental and neighborhood involvement - those are the ingredients that have made Carpenter the school that it is, and I hope those last well into the future."
He adds, "I will really miss Carpenter, and I'm happy to say that we'll be joined at Walter Reed by many of the same great people we've met and known for these many years."
