New Wells Fargo Requests 3 Signs and New Storefront

The new bank is moving into the former Blockbuster along Ventura Boulevard.

A new being planned in the Ralphs complex at Vineland and Ventura—in the former spot—is seeking City Planning Department approval of three wall signs to replace the existing ones and replace the storefront doors and windows.

The request is a bit tricky because the new bank will be along the Ventura Corridor Specific Plan which has more stringent requirements. The Blockbuster previously located in the complex had three wall signs, but the plan allows only for two.

Robert Jacknewitz requested the plans for Wells Fargo and brought the situation up at a recent of the Studio City Neighborhood Council.

However, the other anchor stores in the complex—  and at the complex—also have three signs, and were approved that way.

Wells Fargo is simply asking to replace the ones that were on the wall on three sides of the building, which is on the corner closest to the Ralphs.
