Studio City Neighborhood Council Welcomes New Homelessness Chair
Steve Johnson is a sergeant in the Internal Affairs Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
STUDIO CITY, CA — The Studio City Neighborhood Council welcomes Steve Johnson as its new homelessness chair. Johnson currently works as an investigator for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Internal Affairs Bureau, where he holds the rank of sergeant.
Johnson earned a BS in International Relations from Air Force Academy. After graduation, he served eight years in the Air Force and was deployed as an on-board navigator during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He later owned and operated two fitness locations for seven years, before joining LASD to return to public service.
"He has spent a great deal of time interacting with various agencies charged with addressing these issues," Randall Fried, SCNC President, said. "[He] understands the challenges we face and, I believe, will strike a balance in addressing the immediate concerns of the greater community while also working to bring solutions to those experiencing homelessness in Studio City specifically."
