Trump In War With California: Sen. Kevin de León
State Sen. Kevin de León said this week that "President Trump has officially declared war on California" because of recent actions.

CALIFORNIA -- Repealing a marijuana policy, allowing off-shore drilling and signing a new tax plan that would hurt California homeowners are just some of the reasons why state Sen. Kevin de León feels President Donald Trump is in war with the Golden State. In an interview with The Guardian, the California lawmaker said “There should be no doubt that President Trump has officially declared war on California."
de León (D-Los Angeles) made his comments this week days after Attorney General Jeff Sessions repealed a policy that would allow federal prosecutors to crackdown on marijuana. The move happened after California welcomed the legalization of the recreational drug.
"The federal government’s war on the Golden State – which overwhelmingly rejected the president in 2016 and has become a liberal leader in the anti-Trump resistance – has intensified in recent days with the administration threatening California’s immigrants, world-famous coastal shores, taxpayers and weed smokers," The Guardian reported.

"The political warfare by Trump, who reportedly holds deep grudges and is said to be obsessed with his electoral wins and losses, has the potential to cause havoc and destroy livelihoods in the state of California, the world’s sixth largest economy," the newspaper wrote.
