From Burritos to Big Ideas: PAL’s August Calendar Delivers

This August, Fairfield PAL is turning ordinary weekdays into something worth showing up for. With a full schedule of free afterschool events, teens from Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis have plenty of reasons to stay engaged, have fun, and build skills after school.

Open to students ages 13–18 who are enrolled in school and live in Fairfield, Suisun or Travis Air Force Base, PAL offers a safe and welcoming space where teens can hang out, connect with others, and take part in activities that boost confidence and leadership—all at no cost.

What’s Happening at PAL This August?

From game shows to tournaments, and from delicious eats to leadership opportunities, check out just a few highlights:

• 🎤 Ms. Fatima Vs Everybody — Test your trivia skills and have a blast competing in this fast-paced, prize-filled game show.
• 🌯 Restaurant Remix Nights — Learn to make favorites like Raising Cane’s and Wing Stop in this DIY workshop! Win authentic Raising Canes Lip Sauce thanks to our pal’s at the Fairfield Raising Cane’s.
• 🎨 Art Breaks — Get creative with clay, blacklight painting, tie-dye, friendship pins, and more.
• 🏀 3-on-3 Basketball & Tournaments — Show off your skills or cheer on your friends.
• 🍔 Food Nights — Enjoy pizza with the Matt Garica Foundation, burritos from La Cabana with the Fairfield Suisun Rotary, or check out a special Chick-fil-A takeover!
• 🎮 Gaming & Laser Tag — Take part in NBA 2K26, Mario Kart tournaments, Fortnite, and laser tag challenges in our Esports Lounge.
• 💜 Solano County Soroptimist’s Girls Circle: Defying Friendship Drama — A fun, supportive space to build resilience and connect with others..with a very special WICKED theme!
• 🏆 Leadership & Volunteer Opportunities — Earn community service hours while helping run events and make PAL even better.

📝 How to Join

Membership at Fairfield PAL is free and open to:

• Teens ages 13–18
• Residents of Fairfield, Suisun, or Travis
• Students currently enrolled in school

To sign up:

Visit the Fairfield Community Center, 1000 Kentucky Street, with a valid student ID and a parent / guardian’s signature.

ABOUT FAIRFIELD PAL

The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Membership is FREE and can be applied for at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) with a current ID and parent / guardian signature. The facility is currently undergoing construction and programs are subject to change with little notice. Updates are made on social media as they become available.
