FAIRFIELD, CA — A fast-moving brush fire in the Fairfield area triggered mandatory evacuations Monday afternoon.
By 5:30 p.m., the blaze, dubbed the Vista Grande Fire, had scorched at least 50 acres.
Cal Fire crews and Vallejo and Fairfield Fire Departments are battling the blaze, which is threatening homes, according to the Vallejo Fire.
