Fairfield Kidnapping Suspects Arrested

The victim was able to escape after jumping out of a moving vehicle, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CA -- Two kidnapping suspects were arrested Saturday for allegedly forcing a man into a vehicle in Fairfield.

Police said Daniel Valdovinos, 28, of Fairfield, was booked into Solano County Jail on charges of kidnapping, carjacking, being an accessory to a crime, and being an out of compliance sex offender, while Juan Muniz-Baron, 27, of Fairfield, was booked on charges of carjacking, kidnapping, and being an accessory to a crime.

The incident happened Sept. 28 when the victim, a 25-year-old Fairfield resident, told officers he attempted to return lost property to a co-worker. The co-worker and the second suspect forced the victim into his vehicle before driving away, police said.

The victim was able to escape after jumping out of the moving vehicle where he ran to report the incident to authorities, police said.

Both suspects were served a search warrant Saturday where they were arrested and taken into custody without incident, police said.
