Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club Awards Scholarships
Six Fairfield PAL Teens 'Ready to Succeed'

The Fairfield Police Activities League (PAL) is proud to announce that five outstanding PAL Teen Center members have been named this year’s Rotary Scholars through the Ready to Succeed Program, a partnership with the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club.
At this week’s Rotary Club meeting, the following PAL members were recognized for their commitment, growth, and vision for the future:
- Diego Arista Rosales
- Rasheed Mosby
- La'Maya Jo'Nique Lashay Cornelison
- Gael Emiliano Perez Valencia
- Rene Ramirez Vega
Each Scholar is now eligible to receive up to $4,000 per year for two years to support their pursuit of higher education or career training — totaling as much as $8,000 in scholarships per student.

They join fellow Scholar Brandon Angulo, who began the program early and has already completed his electrician training. Brandon recently entered the workforce, making him the program’s newest alumni success story.
These students earned the honor after completing a full year of weekly classes at the Fairfield PAL Teen Center. The Rotary’s Ready to Succeed Program is designed to help local youth build strong foundations for their futures through:

- Self-discovery and personal development
- CliftonStrengths assessments
- Career exploration and goal setting
- Real-world skill-building and public speaking
- A career-focused capstone project with local professionals
The program culminates in a formal interview process with a panel of Rotarians who select deserving graduates for scholarship awards.
“This recognition is more than just financial support — it’s a powerful vote of confidence in the potential of these young leaders,” said Joan Lovell.
Now in its 9th year, the Rotary Scholars program has helped past PAL graduates launch careers as teachers, EMTs, electricians, police officers, pastors, and more. The impact of this program extends far beyond the classroom — it is changing lives and building a stronger, more connected community.

ABOUT FAIRFIELD PAL
The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Membership is FREE and can be applied for at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) with a current ID and parent / guardian signature. The facility is currently undergoing construction and programs are subject to change with little notice. Updates are made on social media as they become available.
