SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Fairfield firefighters quickly extinguished a two-alarm garage fire in north Fairfield this afternoon, a battalion chief said. The fire in the 3000 block of Marbury Court was reported around
1:10 p.m. Friday. Only two of the five occupants of the two-story home were home at the time and both escaped safely.
The garage was fully involved in fire when firefighters arrived, Acting Battalion Chief Robb Herrick said. There were no vehicles in the garage.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack and kept flames from spreading from the attached garage into the living area and attic, which sustained only heat and smoke damage, Herrick said.
