Man Shot in the Chest While Working on his Car on Taylor St., Two Suspects at Large

Man shot in the chest and brought to Northbay hospital, two suspects got away.

Fairfield Police are searching for two male suspects, accused of shooting a Fairfield man in the chest Wednesday morning.
 
On July 31 at 4:05AM, Fairfield PD was called to the 500 block of Taylor Street to report an argument and possible gunshot. Officers checked the area but could not locate a victim at the time of the call.

Approximately one hour later, a 29 year old Fairfield resident was brought into North Bay Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his chest and numerous lacerations to his head.  The victim was rushed into surgery and is expected to survive his injuries.

The victim told police he was working on his car when he was attacked and shot by two men in the 500 block of Taylor Street.  After the shooting, the victim saw the men flee southbound on Taylor Street.  At this time, the motive for the attack is unknown.

One suspect has been described as an unknown aged white male, approximately six feet tall, medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and armed with a handgun.  The second suspect was described as an unknown race male.

The Police Department is attempting to identify the two suspects responsible for this shooting.
