There’s some tree-mendous stuff happening at Fairfield PAL this December 🎄

Fairfield PAL has a lot to unwrap this month — DIY projects, fast-paced games, sewing studio afternoons, holiday-themed challenges, and more! Every afternoon offers something new, hands-on, active, or just plain fun.

PAL members will get the chance to sleigh holiday-themed snacks, play archery tag and gaga ball, tap into their inner engineer during our Gingerbread House Build-Off, strengthen their s“elf” control during playful, skill-building challenges, practice budgeting and financial literacy in a Price Is Right Christmas Challenge, and jump into a variety of festive activities throughout the month.

Here’s a look at what’s happening this December:

🎁 Deck the DIY
Cupcake bath bombs, Grinch bath salts, clay diffusers, yarn-beanie ornaments, traditional cinnamon ornaments, and salt-dough trees — a different holiday project nearly every day.

❄️ Snowball Showdown Dodgeball League
A weekly PAL favorite with rotating teams, quick rounds, skill building workshops, and lots of friendly competition.

🧵 Sew Savvy
Drop-in sewing sessions where teens learn basic skills, repairs, and small creative projects — great for handmade gift-making, hemming your jeans or making minor repairs to your favorite hat! Hone your skills making bears and blankets to be given to our friends at Sane-Sart to support survivors in our community.

Weekly connection, conversation, and themed activities led in a welcoming, supportive space.

🥊 You vs. Brandon Cardio Boxing Showdown
Workout Wednesday’s boxing-style cardio challenge: three rounds of shadowboxing, jump rope, and core training with Coach Brandon, plus a weekly leaderboard. No contact.
🍎 Food Pantry & Stop & Shop Nights
Free groceries, snacks, produce, and raffle prizes thanks to our partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.

🎮 Games & Holiday Challenges
Connect 4 Basketball, Smash Bros. tournaments, ping-pong relays, trick-shot contests, holiday relays, Santa races, floorball, Archery Tag, Gaga Ball, gingerbread challenges, and creative activities that change throughout the month. There will be a pizza dinner, thanks to the Matt Garcia Foundation—and a special holiday treat thanks to the Fairfield Suisun Rotary you won't want to miss!

Fairfield PAL is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens ages 13–18 who are enrolled in school. Membership is free — teens can apply at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) with a parent/guardian signature and a school ID.
