389 Riverside County Properties To Be Auctioned In 'Tax Sale'
Bidding on tax-delinquent properties begins later this month. Here's how to participate.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A public online auction of 389 tax-delinquent Riverside County properties takes place later this month.
The County of Riverside Treasurer-Tax Collector Office is scheduled to hold its annual "tax sale" on Thursday, April 24, and conclude it on Tuesday, April 29. Bid4Assets.com is hosting the auction.
The sale properties stretch across the county and include vacant parcels, homes and buildings in which the owners are seriously behind in paying their property taxes.

The primary purpose of the public auction sale is to collect unpaid taxes and return the properties to a revenue-generating status by conveying them to other owners.

The sales were approved during a Jan. 7 public hearing before the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. The sale properties have unpaid taxes totaling approximately $8.35 million, according to the county.
Interested in bidding? Bidders must submit a refundable deposit of $5,000, plus a $35 processing fee, by Monday, April 21, 2025. Deposits must be made via wire transfer, certified check, or cashier’s check. Get more information on the entire process here.
Riverside County Treasurer-Tax Collector Matthew Jennings said by offering sales online, "we’re able to expand access, increase participation, and ensure a smooth, efficient process for bidders."
He also said the process affords the "highest level of transparency."
